Dr. Akshay Baheti was graduated in Pharmacy from North Maharashtra University in 1999 with third rank in University, received M. Pharm in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry from Pune University in 2001 and Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmaceutical Sciences) from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2013. He is working with School of Pharmacy MIT World Peace University, Pune as Head School of Pharmacy. He is working with Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy, Pune as Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Pharmacognosy.
Dr. Baheti has 19 years of experience in teaching and research in the field of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and standardization of Ayurvedic formulations. He has guided over 30 U.G and 07 P.G Projects. He is reviewer of many national and international Journals. He has received research grants from BCUD, Pune University. Dr. Baheti has authored one book and published more than twenty research papers in the national and international journals. He is Marquis Who’s who listee 2009.He has received MIT Foundation day Award in 2014, Best Innovative teacher award by Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2017, Sikshak Sri Samman by International Identity Forum 2018 and Best Professor in Pharmacognosy award by 26th Business School Affairs and Dewang Mehta National Educational Awards (Region rounds). He has received fellowship on “ Traditional Medicines and Integrative Health” supported by Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and organized by Interdisciplinary School of Health Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
